Quiet Moments: The Importance of Stealing Intimate Time with Your New Spouse on Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is likely to be one of the most exciting and memorable days of your life. It's a day that you've been looking forward to for months, or even years, and you want everything to be perfect. But with all the hustle and bustle of the day, it can be easy to get caught up in the excitement and forget to take a few quiet moments with your new spouse.

However, taking some intimate time with your spouse is an essential part of your wedding day. Here are a few reasons why you should make sure to steal a few quiet moments with your new spouse:

Reflection and Connection

A wedding day can be chaotic and overwhelming, with lots of people vying for your attention. Taking a few quiet moments with your new spouse allows you to reflect on the significance of the day and the commitment you're making to each other. It's also an opportunity to connect with your spouse and remind each other of the love and devotion you share.

Memories to Cherish

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and you'll want to remember it for years to come. The intimate moments you share with your spouse are the memories that will stay with you long after the day is over. They're the moments you'll look back on and smile, knowing that you took the time to connect with the person you love most.

Calming and Centering

Getting married can be stressful, and a few quiet moments with your spouse can help you feel calm and centered. It's an opportunity to step away from the chaos and focus on each other, grounding yourself in the love and commitment you share.

Couples Portrait Moments

Here at Terah Hoobler Photography, one way that I ensure all my couples get some time for these moments is that I am really protective over the time we spend together shooting their couple's portraits (AKA Romantics!) I typically do not let any of the wedding guest follow us around and definitely do not let anyone take photos while I am photographing during this time. My method ensures that not only will they get privacy while shooting some of the most intimate photos, they will also be able to have some quiet moments alone to breathe! This is important because the majority of our wedding venues here in Wilmington, NC and the coastal region of North Carolina are very open to the public. Beach weddings especially. So I make it a special point to keep things as private as possible!

Featured in this post are some of my favorite images taken during these quiet, romantic wedding day portrait sessions! The images are from Weddings all over North Carolina, with the majority of them being in the Wilmington, NC area.

In conclusion, taking a few quiet moments with your new spouse on your wedding day is essential. It allows you to reflect on the significance of the day, create memories that will last a lifetime, and feel calm and centered amidst the chaos. So, make sure to schedule some intimate time with your spouse, even if it's just for a few minutes. Trust us, it will be worth it.
